When West Indies host England in short 3 match series starting on Friday in Antigua, it is a contest which could hardly be billed as such.
The West will be lacking the gargantuan talents of Chris Gayle, Dwayne Bravo, Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Lendl Simmons and Darren Sammy.
So it’s an almost second string, which have seen the West Indies sink to ninth in the ICC ODI rankings, playing an England team officially rated at No 5 but are largely considered to be better than that given the exciting brand they play.
England are no better than 1.20 to win the series with West Indies 4.50. There’s not much joy in those prices. You will have to risk a hefty stake on Eoin Morgan’s men to receive slim pickings in return.
England’s beleaguered bowling attack will enjoy bowling at the not so dangerous batting line up. They also will have become arguably the best batting line up in world ODI cricket. In the last year alone smashing numerous 350 plus scores and topped the world best against Pakistan at Trent Bridge.
My advice would be to lump on and et some cash ready for the festival less than 2 weeks away.
