155 SYMPHONY GROUP STAKES
Mick Channon the legendary ex Southampton footballer has taken to training amazingly over the years. He always has a solid team and his horse in this Shore Step can take the spoils.
230 TATTERSALLS ACOMB STAKES
This will be a simple choice of either Mohab or Recorder. I feel Mohab has more scope to improve and is a good price, also Kevin Ryan has a great record at York. Recorder’s price is swayed by the Queen and Dettori factor I feel. This could be the prelude to these two taking on each other in next years classics.
305 BETWAY GREAT VOLTIGEUR STAKES
Aidan O´Brien sends 3 to this renewal Bondi Beach, Giovanni Canaletto and Aloft. Srangely his stables 3 year olds havent taken the amount of events he usually wins. I also feel he will be off the mark in this. Storm The Stars is rightly the favourite for this after great displays in both the English and Irish Derby. I have a sneaking suspicion for the unexposed Tashaar though so he gets my vote.
340 JUDDMONTE INTERNATIONAL STAKES
Derby winners have won this three times in the last eight years and Golden Horn is going to be the next to do this. He has some serious competition in this race however. Gleneagles and Time Test are worthy challengers. Gleneagles is the best miler in Europe but can he go that extra 2 furlongs. Time Test has the stamp of approval from legendary trainer Roger Charlton so cannot be discounted. I feel however that Golden Horn is the Frankel of this generation and this trip is his optimum.
